Community Guidelines

Draft standards for future public SoundBoards and community sounds.

Effective date
July 21, 2026
Status
Pre-launch draft
This document is a working draft, not legal advice or a guarantee of compliance. Obtain qualified legal review before launch.

Community status

Community publishing and discovery are in development. These draft guidelines describe the standards intended for public SoundBoards, sounds, creator profiles, metadata, and other community activity if those features launch.

Create and share responsibly

  • Share only audio and artwork you created or have permission to publish.
  • Use accurate titles, descriptions, tags, and creator information.
  • Respect privacy, consent, and the context in which a recording was made.
  • Keep public SoundBoards organized and avoid misleading packaging or impersonation.

Not allowed

  • Copyright infringement or unauthorized distribution of recordings.
  • Non-consensual private recordings, doxxing, or content exposing sensitive personal information.
  • Threats, targeted harassment, hateful conduct, or content that meaningfully encourages violence or abuse.
  • Sexual exploitation, content involving the abuse of minors, or unlawful sexual content.
  • Fraud, impersonation, deceptive links, malware, spam, or coordinated manipulation.
  • Content or behavior that violates applicable law or the Acceptable Use Policy.

Sensitive and contextual content

Some audio may be permissible only with appropriate context, labeling, age controls, regional restrictions, or reduced distribution. Those controls must be defined before public launch. SoundSend may limit discovery even when content is not removed.

Reporting and enforcement

Reporting tools and an appeal path must be verified before community launch. Until then, reports may be sent to support@soundsend.app. SoundSend may remove content, limit discovery, restrict features, suspend accounts, or preserve records when needed to enforce these guidelines.

Enforcement decisions may consider context, severity, repetition, intent, risk of harm, and legal obligations. No particular response time or appeal outcome is promised in this draft.
